The National Addiction Memorial honors the loved ones we’ve lost.

My Uncle Big Jim, 'Lone Wolf ' Richardson was my mentor and friend. He loved me unconditionally. He was a complex man but he had the kindest heart when he let it show. He lived life with abandon. He was one of a kind and I will love him always.

He taught me about my Native heritage and religion.

His huge smile that reached deep into his eyes and his never ceasing validation of me along with his truly unconditional love.

As a warrior and a medicine man who lived life honestly.

David was always thinking about helping others by giving empty bottles or cans they can collect or just sharing food. He had a kind heart when it shined through and always fought for his kids .

I just loved watching him and our son together him teaching him how to fish or tie a shoe .

I miss that David was doing so good he was on the better path I ever seen him on and getting things in order also we were making light of him and I making the families whole .

Please remember the good that David show through any darkness we saw cause he's gone now and there's no reason to hold on to that let him rest in peace . Love you David more than you know and myself cause in the end it hurt it hurts and you will forever be a piece of my soul

Vanessa's battle was the saddest because even though we knew she relapsed, asked (begged) her to get help, she would not admit she had. Her son will always know how much she loved him but the disease was just too powerful.

Watching her with her son, born at 28 weeks, and her strength for him.

Devon was a child of many talents, he was a peer counselor to those suffering depression, he was in college for a Medical Assistant and movie producer. He loved his Mom and Sister Lexi with great enthusiasm.

We went to Cozumel Mexico and Devon was the funniest ever. Devon stole the show wherever we went.

I miss Devons smile, and his integrity. His dry humor as well.

To reach out to anyone with addiction and depression. To be there and seek treatment where you can.. To always talk to them when they have any issue.

Derek was very loving family oriented man who just adored his beautiful daughter. Derek's main goal was to succeed in life for his family. Derek grew up in a tight family loving his brother grandparents and cousins. Derek had a bigheart full of love

The look on his face when he came out of delivery room to tell us it was a GIRL!! The love in in face was something my husband and I will never forget.

Derek's laugh, smile, voice and most importantly his hugs.

As a loving man who cared deeply for his family and friends.

My brother, Elvis Ariel was the warmest, most loving guy a person could ever meet. His infectious laugh lit up any room he walked in and his bright smile always made my day.

I want people to remember him as the fighter that he was. He fought so hard, for so long, and never gave up. I want those to honor him as a lovable guy, Elvis would do anything for his son and loved ones.

The demons with the alcohol got to be too much for him. He is at peace now and not suffering anymore. He is in God's arms.

He would always take me miniature golfing. And we would always go to the movies together.

His goofy laugh. And all the I love you, I will never hear again. The daily phone calls I shall never have again.

When he was sober he had a heart of gold. He was always there for me. He was always there to help his family and friends. His son was his world.

She was a firecracker full of love and cuss words ! If you don't want the blunt truth , don't ask Johanna. She was the sister God sent me

We met as pen pals, then later met in person . That nightwe met after dinner it was raining and we danced and played in the rain like little girls

I will miss her calls or random texts telling me she has to pee 🤣 it's a hilarious inside joke and to look down at your phone and someone just texts " hey ! I gotta peeeeeee"

Oh my Gosh I have so many But I think the one that comes to mind Was when she was my flower girl when I got married in June 2018.she shines like sunlight.

When I was in the hospital she’d come everyday to see me without fail! Even during blizzard conditions.

I miss her early morning calls to gossip or tell me a funny story! I miss the sound of her voice & all the shit she would give me! Still listen for her to drive past my work on Sunday mornings and flip me off as she’d go by

She woukdve done anything for anyone & Do not want her to be remembered by her drinking or senseless things she do when drinking! She meant soo much to so many & always will!! Go over that rainbow 🌈 your not I’m pain anymore!

She was my cousin. Beutiful funny and energetic. She had to be to be a mother of 6 daughters in a range of ages. She was lived by all and generous to everyone.

Michael was one of the most caring people you'd ever meet. He had a heart of gold, he was loving and compassionate, and he would give you the shirt off of his back. He had a smile bright enough to light up any room he walked into.

My favorite memory of him, is before he got sick, him and my oldest son were really close. He wanted to spend time with him any chance he got. I always replay in my head him saying "What's my little buddy doing?" And although the memory of him is fading quickly for my son, I'll be forever thankful that he was able to meet him.
